Agricultural Chaplaincy

24th February 2011
Agricultural Chaplaincy

The Agricultural Chaplain, Graham Hinds, can drop in at farms and offer a listening ear in total confidence and, if requested, advise on the best way forward. Graham has many years experience of agriculture and is well aware of the problems facing the farming community.

The chaplaincy covers 65 parishes across the north part of the Derbyshire Dales and Hope Valley - from Hartington to Baslow and Edale to Darley Dale, and all parishes in between.

The post is managed by RAD, the Industrial Mission for Derbyshire and the Derbyshire Rural Stress Partnership, and is funded through the Rural Stress Initiative Fund.

Graham is available at the Agricutural Business Centre in Bakewell most Mondays. He also works closely with other organisations including High Peak and Dales PCT, Churches in Derbyshire, Agricultural Christian Fellowship, Citizens Advice Bureau, Farm Crisis Network, Derbyshire Rural Helpline, and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

The service is FREE and totally confidential.
