Farming - Community Development
DRCC employs community development workers (CDWs) to help
people who are working for community benefit. This work
can take many forms, sometimes it will involve bringing
groups of people together to discuss issues or plans. Often
it is concerned with spreading ideas and information and
coordinating a local response. CDWs also act as go-betweens
for the community, talking to disrtict councils, LSP boards
and other agencies.
In all its work DRCC strives to be inclusive, this means
making sure that everyone who will be affected by an action
has a real chance to to be involved in the discussions and
decisions made.
