Sex and Sexual Health Awareness
There are several projects dealing with the
promotion of sex education and sexual health awareness.
These projects provide advice, information
and education for both young people and youth workers from
all sectors of the community. They give information and
counselling on issues ranging from contraception and STDs
to relationships and pregnancy. They also provide free condoms.

Drugs Awareness
There are several organisations in Derbyshire
whose aim is to educate young people about the different
effects and dangers of using illegal drugs, as well as alcohol
misuse.
The projects listed here all offer confidential
help and advice, not only to young people, but to statutory
and voluntary youth groups. They also run workshops and
training for youth workers on all aspects of drugs education
and emergency first aid in the event of a drugs overdose
and other problems associated with the misuse of drugs and
alcohol.
